NOTICE OF RACE |
1 RULES
The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing, including US SAILING prescriptions.
2 CLASS
J-80 one design boats will be provided. Spinnakers will not be used.
3 TEAM
Each competing team shall consist of a skipper and crew (3 minimum) for three boats. Participants must be members, spouses or dependants of members of the club that they represent. Each of the visiting teams shall include as one of their crew, the provided boat owner’s representative.
4 CREW WEIGHT
There is no weight requirement.
5 ADVERTISING
The regatta is classified as a Category A Event in accordance with ISAF Regulation 20 – Advertising Code.
6 ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY
Verbal acceptance by an invited club and notification to the LWSA of the club’s contact person constitutes entry in the event.
7 FEES
The entry fee is $200 per boat. This includes lunches and Dinner Saturday night. Proof of liability insurance of $1,000,000 (protection and indemnity) is required by each participating organization.

9 VENUE
Racing will take place on Lake Winnipesaukee, NH. Except where noted in the final regatta schedule, shore activities will take place at TBD. See Schedule.
10 SAILING INSTRUCTIONS
Sailing Instructions will be available at the Participants’ Meeting.
11 FORMAT
The planned format is a series of races between the two teams as described in the Sailing Instructions. One race is required to be completed to constitute a regatta.
12 COURSE
Courses will be as diagramed in the Sailing Instructions.
13 SCORING
Scoring will be in accordance with Appendix D, except as modified by the Sailing Instructions.
14 PROTESTS
A boat intending to protest will be adjudicated immediately by on the water umpires. Intention to protest and acknowledgement of breaches shall be per Appendix D2.
15 LIFE JACKETS
All competitors shall wear a U.S. Coast Guard-approved PFD at all times while on the water, except while actively adding or removing clothing.
16 WAIVER, DAMAGE DEPOSIT AND PROOF OF INSURANCE
All participants must sign a waiver form. All skippers will be required to provide a $500 damage deposit prior to the start of racing by providing a check or credit card information at registration. The deposit is a per-incident maximum. If a skipper has more than one incident, he or she is then liable for up to $500 for each subsequent incident. In addition, proof of liability insurance of $1,000,000 (protection and indemnity) is required by each participating organization.
